Trust Wallet is one of the most popular mobile wallets for holding TRX and TRC20 tokens. When sending TRX from Trust Wallet, the app displays an estimated network fee drawn from your available bandwidth or TRX balance. A standard TRX transfer typically shows a fee of approximately 1 TRX, though the actual on-chain deduction may be zero if your free daily bandwidth quota is sufficient. Trust Wallet's fee display reflects the maximum possible charge, not necessarily the final amount deducted.

For USDT TRC20 transfers, Trust Wallet requires that you have TRX in your wallet to cover energy costs. This confuses many users who hold USDT but no TRX — they find themselves unable to send their USDT despite having sufficient balance. The minimum TRX needed depends on the recipient: approximately 14 TRX for sending to an existing USDT address, or 28 TRX for a new address. The simplest solution is to keep at least 20 TRX in any wallet used for USDT transfers. Alternatively, upgrading to a wallet with built-in energy rental (which automatically rents energy and charges 3–6 TRX instead) can reduce the required TRX balance significantly.
